The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) Center for Financing, Access, and Cost Trends (CFACT) conducts several webinars throughout the year. These webinars consist of a variety of MEPS topics designed for individuals interested in doing research using MEPS data. A registration is required to attend MEPS webinars. Upcoming Three Interactive Webinars on Tuesday, June 4th; Wednesday, June 5th; and Thursday, June 6th All three advanced and interactive webinars will consist of sessions designed to provide a general introduction of the topic along with instructor-led on-screen coding on the example exercise about how to link the medical conditions public use data file to other medical event data files. Each webinar will be two hours in duration. A Q&A session is planned at the end of the session to give participants an opportunity to ask questions. Webinar #1 on Tuesday, Tuesday, June 4th: Using SAS to Link MEPS-HC Medical Conditions to Medical Events Presenter: Emily Mitchell, PH.D. This advanced programming webinar will cover an applied example of how to link the MEPS-HC medical conditions public use data file to other medical event data files using SAS. The example will cover loading MEPS data into SAS, merging data sets, and using survey procedures to estimate utilization and expenditures for the treatment of a condition among the U.S. civilian noninstitutionalized population in 2022. Familiarity with SAS is strongly recommended. Webinar #2 on Wednesday, June 5th: Using R to Link MEPS-HC Medical Conditions to Medical Events Presenter: Rebecca Ahrnsbrak, MPS This advanced programming webinar will cover an applied example of how to link the MEPS-HC medical conditions public use data file to other medical event data files using R. The example will cover loading MEPS data into R, merging data sets, and using survey procedures to estimate utilization and expenditures for the treatment of a condition among the U.S. civilian noninstitutionalized population in 2022. Familiarity with R is strongly recommended. Webinar #3 on Thursday, June 6th: Using STATA to Link MEPS-HC Medical Conditions to Medical Events Presenter: James Kirby, Ph.D. This advanced programming webinar will cover an applied example of how to link the MEPS-HC medical conditions public use data file to other medical event data files using STATA. The example will cover loading MEPS data into STATA, merging data sets, and using survey procedures to estimate utilization and expenditures for the treatment of a condition among the U.S. civilian noninstitutionalized population in 2022.
